my name is andrew sexton. I am a 17 year old photographer and filmmaker based in Greenville, South Carolina, specializing in creative portrait photography. My work focuses on capturing personality and emotion in a uniquely artistic way. Sometimes breaking the rules of photography and going beyond traditional methods, enhances the overall message shown throughout my pictures.

In addition I currently attend the South Carolina's Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities for film. My background and current education involving film helps improve my skills in photography and cinematography.

PERSONAL STATEMENT

For me I see film and photography as a form of ministry. Seeing a smile on someone's face after a photoshoot is what carries me through my week. One of the most powerful experiences for me as an artist was a mission trip I did to Jamaica. Many of the kids there had never had their picture taken. When they saw my camera everyone wanted a picture. I was literally surrounded by them, their reactions to their pictures is something I will never forget. Through every photo and video, I aspire to create the same wonder and joy through my work.
